Medical Technologist (ASCP) - Overland Park, KS (Sign-on & Relocation is available ) Employment Type: Full-Time Job Summary: The Medical Technologist (ASCP Registered) performs pre-analytic, analytic, and post-analytic laboratory testing in compliance with CLIA standards. Shifts Available: • Evenings - 40 Hours/Week • Nights (Weekends Only) - Thursday-Sunday (32 Hours/Week) Key Responsibilities: • Perform waived, moderate, and high complexity testing • Conduct blood bank testing in an acute care hospital laboratory • Ensure accurate documentation and test reporting • Maintain laboratory equipment and supply inventory • Investigate unexpected or abnormal test results • Assist in training laboratory staff and students • Maintain compliance with safety and regulatory standards Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related science OR Bachelor's degree with sub-specialty certification OR Grandfathered under CLIA 1988. • Required Certification: ASCP (or equivalent such as CLS (NCA), BB(ASCP), C(ASCP), I(ASCP), H(ASCP), or M(ASCP)) • Minimum 1+ year of recent Blood Bank experience in an acute care hospital laboratory (non-acute care experience will not be considered) Benefits: • Sign-On Bonus: $20,000 • Relocation Assistance: $5,000 Shift Differentials: • $2/hour Evenings • $3/hour Nights • $3/hour Weekends For any further information, please feel free to reach me at OR (469) 496-2767
