IT Automation Analyst

Century Aluminum is an aluminum smelting operation located in Sebree Kentucky. We are currently in need of an experienced Automation/IT Analyst to support and maintain in-house computer systems, desktops, peripherals, SQL database management & reporting. Role Summary: The Automation/IT Analyst provides IT support to all end-users in the operations and administrative areas throughout the casting department. Role Responsibilities include: The Automation/IT Analyst works with end users to identify and deliver required system service levels. This position also installs, tests, maintains and troubleshoots end user workstation hardware, networked peripheral devices, networking hardware, production servers, SQL databases and reports. The Automation/IT Analyst is responsible for receiving and responding to incoming calls, and/or e-mails regarding software and/or hardware problems. They will also be required to go on the manufacturing shop floor to address and fix issues. Work Location: On-Site, Century Aluminum Sebree Plant Requirements: 3-5+ years of technical experience and/or related experience Bachelor's Degree CIS Excellent technical knowledge of network and PC/Server hardware and software Hands-on troubleshooting experience Preferred: 3+ years experience in manufacturing environment Hands-on experience trouble shooting experience Flexible and adaptable in regards to learning and understanding new technologies Ability to conduct research into software-related issues and products Ability to conduct research into PC/Server issues and products as required. This position requires strong leadership skills and excellent computer skills: Operating Systems - Windows Microsoft Office Products - Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Word Cisco networking equipment knowledge Experience with the following technical skills is desired: Experience and working knowledge in application support for Microsoft SQL Server SQL Reporting Services C++, C#, JAVA and ASP.NET IGear Allen-Bradley PLCs Wonderware Intouch software
