Implement individualized speech therapy sessions dedicated to enhancing communication abilities across language, fluency, voice, and swallowing domains. Collaborate with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, medical professionals, caregivers, and family members to develop comprehensive care plans. Educate patients and families to encourage continuous improvement outside of therapy sessions. Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and therapy to ensure continuity of care through the entire recovery process. Maintain meticulous and timely documentation in accordance with state, federal, and facility protocols. Education Requirements Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution. Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified. Certification Criteria Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of starting employment.
