Education A bachelor's degree in Clinical or Medical Laboratory Science, or an equivalent allied health field, along with preparation for ASCP/AMT certification. Certifications ASCP or AMT Board of Certification in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) is required within the first year of employment.
