The Successful Applicant A successful Metallurgical Engineer should have: 3-10 years of experience in metallurgy, materials engineering, heat treating, coating processes, or a materials testing lab. Degree in Materials Science, Metallurgy, or Mechanical Engineering with materialsrelated industry experience. Handson engineer who thrives in a small business, wears multiple hats, and proactively takes on new responsibilities. Comfortable with metallography, hardness testing, failure analysis, or general materials characterization. Experience or familiarity with furnace equipment, furnace controls, or thermal processing environments. Exposure to aerospace and/or oil & gas industries is a strong plus.
