Assist with sample collection and prepare specimens for testing as necessary. Thoroughly document all processes, provide training to new staff or students, and play a role in maintaining lab quality benchmarks. Ensure a safe, organized work environment and comply with all regulatory and accreditation standards. Education Bachelor's degree in Clinical or Medical Laboratory Science or a comparable allied health degree along with ASCP/AMT certification preparation. Certifications ASCP or AMT Board of Certification in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) to be obtained within one year of employment. Continuous maintenance of certification required throughout employment duration. Skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective teamwork with healthcare colleagues. Able to exercise independent judgment and solve problems effectively in fast-paced or high-pressure scenarios.
