Description Conduct thorough evaluations for a range of demographic groups-children, adults, and seniors-utilizing standardized tools and skilled observational techniques. Create individualized therapy plans that cater to both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives. Deliver focused one-on-one speech therapy sessions targeting language, voice, fluency, and swallowing issues. Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team including PTs, OTs, nursing staff, and physicians to design effective care plans. Educate patients and their families to enhance therapeutic progress outside clinical settings. Occasionally engage in inpatient evaluations and therapies, ensuring seamless continuity of care throughout the recovery process. Keep comprehensive and prompt documentation in compliance with state, federal, and organizational regulations. Commit to lifelong learning and professional growth through ongoing education and collaboration with colleagues. Education Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution. Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) for those not yet ASHA-certified. Certifications Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) is preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire. Skills Solid grounding in evidence-based treatment strategies applicable to all ages, complemented by a keen knowledge of speech, language, and swallowing disorders. Outstanding communication skills that enable effective interaction with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
