Create tailored treatment strategies that fulfill immediate needs while considering long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives. Administer individualized speech therapy that focuses on language, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing techniques. Work hand in hand with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, families, and caregivers to foster integrated care approaches. Educate patients and their families to aid in progress outside of scheduled therapy sessions. Engage in occasional inpatient evaluations, ensuring seamless transitions throughout the therapeutic process. Uphold meticulous documentation that adheres to all regulatory standards. Remain informed of the latest advancements in the field through ongoing education and collaborative discussions with peers. Education Earned a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution. Completed a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if you are yet to receive ASHA certification. Certifications Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) by ASHA. Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire. Skills Expertise in evidence-based treatment for all demographics with a strong grasp of both developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders. Outstanding communication abilities to effectively interact with patients, their families, and interdisciplinary care teams.
