JOURNEYMAN QA COATINGSINSPECTOR Venture Dynamics is looking for Journeymen QA Coatings Inspectors • Must have NBPI or NACE Certifications asa coatings inspector. • IdealCandidate will have 4 or more years NBPI or NACE experience. • Must have knowledge in Basic Microsoftapplications. • Must be familiar with and with assistance be able toresearch applicable NAVSEA Standard Items, OSHA standards, and regulatory bodyregulations, drawings, specifications, and technical manuals. • Must be able to obtain a basic knowledge of the Test andInspection Plan in order to conduct inspections. • Must have good verbal and written communication skills. • Must be able to assist with conducting in-processinspections to ensure correct materials, proper fabrication and installationprocedures are utilized during the production process. • Must be able to conduct in work process surveillances. • Must have knowledge of ship repair procedures and familiaritywith various trades related to inspections, including welding, structural,machinery, electrical, piping and ventilation. • Must have basic knowledge of quality assurance principlesand quality techniques. • Must be able to learn of Process Control Procedure/ CWPrequirements. • Must be able to work in all locations where inspections arerequired, including but not limited to tanks, voids, cofferdams and elevatedlocations. • Must have good housekeeping skills. • Must be able to read and understand a marine chemistcertificate. • Must know how to take care of tools and equipment used inthe trade. • Must know what Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to useand when. • Must be able to identify safety hazards. • Must be able to perform their job safely • Must be able to navigate a ship and understand compartmentdesignation. • Must have a knowledge of WAF Requirements. • Must be OSHA 10 hour trained, or have the ability to betrained. • Must have Rapid Gate access or be eligible to obtain RapidGate access. • Must be able to understand, read and write proficient inEnglish.
