As a Speech Language Pathologist in the bustling and culturally rich environment of Hialeah, your impact goes far beyond treating communication and swallowing challenges. You will be empowering individuals and families, whether you are guiding a child as they piece together their first sentences or helping an adult navigate the complexities of post-stroke recovery. This position offers a remarkable chance to work with clients of all ages in a lively setting that harmonizes outpatient therapy with occasional inpatient opportunities. Description Conduct thorough evaluations for patients across pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics utilizing both standardized assessments and observational evaluations. Create tailored treatment strategies that target immediate challenges and long-range needs concerning communication, cognition, or swallowing. Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions driven by goals of enhancing communication, language proficiency, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing abilities. Collaborate effectively with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, and family members to forge unified care plans. Educate both patients and their families, offering crucial insights to enable progress beyond therapy sessions. Occasionally conduct inpatient speech therapy assessments and treatments to ensure an uninterrupted healing experience. Maintain precise and prompt documentation that adheres to all regulatory standards at the local, state, and national levels. Commit to ongoing professional growth by engaging in continuing education and collaborative learning with peers. Education A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution. Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified. Certifications State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) awarded by ASHA. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be acquired within the first month of employment. Skills Comprehensive knowledge in evidence-based treatment modalities for a diverse patient population, demonstrating a solid understanding of both developmental and acquired disorders affecting speech, language, and swallowing. Exceptional interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with patients, their families, and multi-disciplinary teams. Capacity to customize therapy techniques in response to cultural and linguistic variances. Robust clinical reasoning and problem-solving skills. Familiarity with electronic medical record systems and documentation practices. Benefits Attractive salary that aligns with your expertise. Flexible hours to promote work-life balance along with diverse patient caseloads. Opportunities to specialize in areas such as pediatrics, adult rehabilitation, or geriatrics. Generous paid time off (PTO) alongside holiday compensation. Comprehensive health benefits including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance. Support for continuing education along with professional development opportunities. A collaborative workplace culture that prioritizes quality care and lifelong learning. A Career That Resonates - and Enriches Lives In this role, you won't just implement speech therapy - you will join a purposeful community striving to unlock voices, enhance communication, and create memories through fundamental human experiences: understanding and being understood. Collaborating with dedicated professionals, you will contribute in a setting that values teamwork and kindness. Every patient comes with a narrative, and we trust you to guide them in authoring their story. Why You Will Adore Living and Working Here The vibrancy of Hialeah beats with a melange of innovation and heartfelt cultural richness. This city, known for its lively neighborhoods and deep-rooted community spirit, provides a backdrop for a lifestyle of opportunity and enjoyment. Families frequently gather in community parks for festivities, while nature enthusiasts explore scenic trails, riverfronts, and stimulating recreational activities year-round. Who We Seek We are on the lookout for a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist driven by compassion and outcomes. Someone who can see the excitement in a shy child's potential for expression or the strength behind the words of a recovering adult. If you are ready to serve others with heart while leading with expertise, we can't wait to welcome you on this journey. Let Us Craft the Right Path Together If you view communication as a bridge beyond mere sounds, and therapy as touching lives beyond tasks - if you value trust as the foundation for meaningful goals and find joy alongside the journey - this role may be the perfect fit for you. Join us in a community that cherishes communication, connection, and the bravery involved in starting anew. Apply today to lend your voice to our mission - and help others articulate theirs.
