This overnight role plays a vital part in maintaining resident safety, stability, and dignity during evening and early morning hours. Key Details Job Title: Resident Aide - Grave Shift Department: ODR Interim Housing Reports To: Program Manager FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Employment Type: Full-Time Work Setting: On-Site Location: South Los Angeles What You'll Do: The Impact You'll Make As a Resident Aide on the grave shift, you will help create a safe, supportive, and well-monitored environment while assisting with essential overnight program operations. Resident Support & Care • Respond promptly and professionally to resident needs • Support residents in maintaining independence with daily chores and personal care • Assist with meal preparation, serving, and assigned program activities • Maintain confidentiality in all resident interactions Monitoring & Safety • Conduct regular overnight rounds to monitor residents and facility conditions • Ensure resident rooms, hallways, restrooms, and common areas remain clean, disinfected, and hazard-free • Respond appropriately to emergencies, incidents, and unusual occurrences and complete required documentation Documentation & Communication • Complete daily logs, incident reports, and end-of-shift documentation • Communicate clearly with oncoming staff and provide updates to the Program Manager Administrative & Facility Support • Answer phones, take messages, and greet visitors as needed • Monitor and record client self-administration of prescribed medications • Support facility services, recreation, and other assigned activities • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Program Manager What You'll Bring: Your QualificationsRequired • High School diploma or GED • At least one (1) year of experience supporting individuals in mental health, substance use treatment, or social services, including homelessness services • Candidates with lived experience are encouraged to apply • If in recovery from alcohol or substance use, at least one (1) year of continuous sobriety • Ability to remain calm, professional, and patient in stressful or crisis situations • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and basic database systems • Valid California Driver's License, clean driving record, and insurability under agency policy • Live Scan background check required Preferred • Current CPR certification • Strong organizational and communication skills • Ability to create a calming, supportive presence and serve as a positive role model • Collaborative, adaptable, and compassionate team player Additional Requirements • Must successfully pass all required background checks • If driving a company vehicle is an essential function, valid licensure and insurability are required • Military-experienced candidates are encouraged to apply • Alcott follows Fair Chance hiring practices during the background check process Why Join Alcott?
