Assist with specimen collection and prepare samples for testing as required. Thoroughly document all procedures, assist in the training of new staff or students, and help maintain laboratory quality standards. Uphold a safe, clean work environment while complying with regulatory and accreditation protocols. Education Bachelor's degree in Clinical or Medical Laboratory Science, or another relevant allied health degree in preparation for ASCP/AMT certification. Certifications ASCP or AMT Board of Certification in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) to be obtained within one year of employment. Maintain current certification for the duration of your employment. Skills The ability to communicate effectively and build positive relationships within healthcare teams.
