Volunteer Opportunity: HR Support for Hospice (Confidential Information & File Management) We are seeking a dedicated and reliable volunteer to assist our Human Resources department with confidential information and file organization in a hospice setting. Position Summary This volunteer will work closely with the HR team to support key administrative and organizational tasks. The role involves handling sensitive employee and HIPAA protected information and assisting with physical file management. Key Responsibilities Handle and organize confidential HR files Lift, bend, twist, and move boxes containing files (must be comfortable with light to moderate physical activity) General office administrative duties - comfortability with office electronics is essential Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times Assist with general HR office tasks as needed Ideal Candidate A business student, medical student, or individual interested in Human Resources or healthcare administration, or an office professional who would like to support the community Comfortable working in a hospice environment and around uncensored aspects of medical and end-of-life care Highly dependable and able to maintain discretion with sensitive information Detail-oriented with a strong sense of responsibility Must be able to pass Background checks and obtain Fingerprint Clearance card provided by company Commitment Minimum of 4 hours per shift Preferably 2 days per week for at least several months (longer-term commitment strongly preferred) Flexible scheduling available - could also be shared between two volunteers This opportunity provides valuable, hands-on experience in HR processes within a healthcare environment while supporting the mission of compassionate hospice care.
