Job Description As the Senior Project Manager, you will report to a Project Executive and take on day-to-day leadership of complex projects while freeing up senior leadership for strategic initiatives. You will own client relationships, project delivery, and team development. In the Senior Project Manager role, you will: Lead the full project lifecycle for either one large, complex project or a portfolio of 2-3 mid-sized projects Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, designers, and subcontractors, building long-term, trust-based relationships Oversee project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and risk management to ensure safe, on-time, and profitable delivery Mentor and coach Project Managers, Project Engineers, and Assistant Project Managers, raising the overall capability of the team Drive high standards of quality, with particular emphasis on concrete and steel structures, interiors, and high-performance building systems Collaborate with the Project Executive and leadership team on business development, key pursuits, and strategic initiatives Champion a collaborative, relationship-oriented culture that emphasizes communication, accountability, and continuous improvement MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law. The Successful Applicant For the Senior Project Manager we are seeking: Proven experience as a Project Manager or Senior Project Manager with a General Contractor delivering commercial or institutional building projects Strong background in one or more of: higher education, municipal/government, office/commercial new builds, or complex interiors Experience managing structural concrete and steel projects; exposure to performance venues, high-performance MEP systems, or acoustically sensitive spaces is a strong plus Demonstrated ability to independently lead projects, manage budgets and schedules, and proactively mitigate risk Track record of mentoring junior team members and creating a supportive, learning-focused environment Strong relationship-building skills with clients, design teams, and subcontractors; able to balance process discipline with empathy and collaboration Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience) Familiarity with common construction and project management software (e.g. construction accounting, drawing management, PDF markup, and take-off tools); ability to quickly learn new systems Local market knowledge or strong ties to the region, with a genuine desire to build a long-term career with a growing, relationship-focused contractor What's on Offer Base salary: Approximately $130,000 - $160,000, commensurate with experience and performance Vehicle allowance: Monthly allowance around $1,250 Tools & benefits: Company mobile phone, health insurance, 18 days PTO, and 401(k) eligibility after one yea Bonus potential: Target around 10% for new starters Significant upside for high performers, with long-term potential in the 20-40% range (not guaranteed)Uncapped bonus structure tied to multiple value and performance metrics Career progression Clear runway to grow into a future division or group leadership roleOpportunity to work on high-profile, multi-hundred-million-dollar institutional and cultural projects in partnership with leading industry playersJoin a leadership team that is intentionally building for long-term sustainability and succession Culture & environment: Highly relationship-oriented, mentorship-driven environment Collaborative leadership team with many in their mid-career stage, focused on growth and long-term fit Strong project backlog and growth trajectory, offering stability plus real advancement opportunities If you are a Senior Project Manager or an experienced Project Manager ready to step up, and you want to build a long-term leadership career with a respected regional contractor, this role offers the autonomy, exposure, and growth runway to do exactly that Contact Charles Smith Quote job ref JN-022026-6957066
