Data Architect

Location: Remote / Hybrid Job Type: Contract / Full-Time Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Data Architect with a minimum of 5+ years in an architectural role, focusing on on-premises and cloud transformation. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in data architecture principles, data consistency, and governance while working with global data engineering teams in highly regulated industries. Key Responsibilities: Define rigorous and scalable data architecture solutions Ensure data consistency and governance across enterprise systems Collaborate with global data engineering teams to drive data strategy and solutions Work on data management and governance, including data glossaries, taxonomy management, data cataloging, data lineage, data quality, and automated data discovery Design logical data models using MagicDraw, ERwin, PowerDesigner, ERStudio, or similar UML modeling tools Implement data architecture patterns, including ODS, Data Lakes, Data Warehousing, OLTP, Data Vault, and OLAP Work with relational (Oracle, MariaDB, SQL Server) and non-relational databases (GraphDB, Cassandra, MongoDB, CockroachDB, etc.) Develop abstraction and generalization of solutions into design patterns Utilize SQL, GraphQL, and programming languages like Python or Java Preferred Qualifications & Experience: TOGAF and/or DAMA certification is a plus Experience in highly regulated industries (finance, healthcare, government, etc.) Familiarity with infrastructure/network domain knowledge and policy-as-code frameworks (OPA, Kyverno, etc.) Knowledge of cloud-based software-defined networking (SDN), including VNFs, CNFs, CNIs (Cilium, OVH, Calico, etc.), and network security concepts like SASE, Zero Trust, and Micro/Macro Segmentation This role offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge data architecture technologies and contribute to a large-scale digital transformation.
