The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and compliance of our products within a manufacturing environment. The Quality Technician will be responsible for conducting inspections, performing audits, and utilizing precision measuring instruments to maintain the highest quality standards.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct shop floor audits to verify process complianceInspect incoming metals, record results in computerOperate optical comparator with high proficiencyPerform FAI (First Article Inspection) data entry & documentationPrepare SPC chartsPerform visual inspectionsApply basic problem-solving to quality issuesInspects outsource materials and special processes operations verifying certificate of conformance and visual criteria as a final release.Utilizes ERP system during manufacturing process (bar code scanning, data entry, etc..)Maintain a safe and well-organized area using 5S.Required Skills & QualificationsProficient with optical comparators for dimensional inspectionStrong understanding of shop floor quality controlExperience with incoming metals inspection and documentationSkilled in FAI data entry and quality reportingExcellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilityStrong communication and teamwork skillsProficient with Microsoft Excel and WordFamiliarity with Keyence vision systems a plus
