Job Description Our client, a pioneering company in well drilling, environmental and geotechnical needs is one of the largest geothermal loop field installers in the country, positioned to make revolution in clean heating and cooling possible. They specialize in design, installation, and maintenance of geothermal systems for residential, commercial, and industrial applications. Position Overview: With a growing team and a commitment to excellence, we are seeking a strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our client's executive leadership team.The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the construction industry and a proven track record in financial management, specifically with percentage complete billing. Key Responsibilities: Financial Leadership: Develop and execute financial strategies to support the company's overall business goals and objectives. Financial Strategy: Develop and implement financial strategies to support the company's growth and profitability goals. Financial Reporting: Oversee the preparation of financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and reports to provide accurate and timely financial information to the executive team and stakeholders. Percentage Complete Billing: Manage and optimize the percentage complete billing process, ensuring accurate revenue recognition and cash flow management throughout project life cycles. Cash Flow Management: Monitor cash flow and financial performance, implementing strategies to optimize liquidity and manage working capital effectively. Cost Management: Analyze project costs, identify financial risks, and implement strategies to enhance profitability. Compliance and Controls: Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and internal controls, overseeing audits and risk management initiatives. Budgeting and Forecasting: Lead the annual budgeting process and ongoing financial forecasting, aligning resources with strategic initiatives. Risk Management: Identify financial risks and implement strategies to mitigate them, ensuring compliance with regulations and internal controls. Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to provide financial insights that drive business decisions and operational efficiency. Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate financial performance and strategic initiatives to the executive team and board of directors, fostering strong relationships with investors, banks, and other financial partners. Requirements Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred. Minimum of 10 years of financial management experience, with at least 7 years in the construction industry. Proven experience with percentage complete billing and contract accounting. Strong understanding of construction project finance and cash flow management. Exceptional analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and leadership abilities. Proficient in financial software and ERP systems relevant to the construction industry.
