Job Description

The Cart Delivery Driver operates a company pickup truck with a 16-foot trailer equipped with a drop-down ramp. In this role, you’ll be responsible for loading, delivering, collecting, repairing, and unloading residential roll carts at customer locations. This is an entry-level, non-CDL driving role. Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned. • Operates vehicle in accordance with OSHA. (Occupational and Safety Health Act) and DOT (Department of Transportation) requirements, as well as all local, municipal, state, and federal laws. • Performs pre-and post-trip inspections of assigned equipment and documents checks on standard DVIR (Driver Vehicle Inspection Report). • Immediately report any unsafe situations or service-related issues to the route Manager or Dispatch. • Participates in all scheduled training programs, briefings, and meetings required by Live Oak Environmental or the Route Manager. • Works closely with Route Managers to improve route efficiencies and identify best practices. • Notifies the Route Manager of any incidents, accidents, injuries, or property damage. • Notifies Route Manager or Dispatch of service interruptions, including blocked containers, closed lots, street, alleyways, or potential safety hazards. • Communicates customer requests to the Route Manager or Dispatch. • Frequently enters and exits both the cab and trailer to manually/physically deliver new empty roll carts and collect material-loaded roll carts weighing in excess of 65 pounds. • Works daily with the routing team and dispatchers to ensure efficient sequential orders for delivery and removals. • Works daily with the local on-site cart maintenance team to ensure proper cart inventory needs. • Completes and submits customer tickets as required, using on-board computer technology. • Completes basic field service repairs on carts, such as lid swaps and axle/wheel repairs. • Completes site evaluations to ensure locations are conducive for safe and proper servicing. • Delivers carts on the customer’s property in a manner that ensures safe and easy recovery by the customer. • Follows route assignments as directed and completes end-of-day documentation and the check-out process. • Performs all duties as scheduled by the Route Manager or Dispatch and assists other drivers as directed to meet customer needs. Qualifications: The requirements listed below are representative of the qualifications necessary to perform the job. Education & Experience • Education: Not required. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations, or Other Requirements • Hold a current Driver's License. • Legally eligible to work in the United States. • Must be at least 18 years of age. • Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations. • Successfully complete and pass a pre-employment DOT drug screen. Compensation: $16 - $18 hourly• To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
