Job Type Full-time Description Job Title: Facilities Technician I Department: Facilities FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Location: Onsite- 202 Salem SUMMARY The Facilities Technician 1 performs a variety of maintenance functions and is responsible for the weekly courier run. This position represents CorePlus with vendors in a professional and workmanlike manner. Essential Duties and Responsibilities 1. Maintains a basic working knowledge and applied understanding of carpentry, painting, landscape maintenance, electrical and plumbing work. 2. Picks up trash and maintains an overall neat appearance of Credit Union properties. 3. Organizes supply closets and moves equipment from branch to branch as required. 4. Performs courier service between branches on a weekly basis. 5. Responsible for maintenance and upkeep of Credit Union vehicle(s). 6. Assists Facilities Technician II as needed. 7. Other duties may be assigned. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Requirements Qualifications • High school diploma or equivalent. • 1-2 years of experience in the construction or maintenance field. • Ability to use small hand and power tools. • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work closely with others. • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. • Must have a valid driver's license and the ability to operate a motor vehicle. A satisfactory driving history is a prerequisite of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to walk; sit; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus. Work Environment The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Salary Description $24/hour starting salary
