Job Title: Azure Solutions Architect and Mainframe Administration Job Code: MS 155950 Client: State of Mississippi - DFA Location: Onsite - Jackson, MS (3771 Eastwood Dr, Jackson, MS 39211) Duration: Contract through March 31, 2027 Work Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (40 hrs/week, occasional overtime) Positions: 1 Rate: Based on experience Job Overview The State of Mississippi Department of Finance & Administration (DFA) is seeking an experienced Azure Solutions Architect & Administrator to lead enterprise cloud initiatives. This is a hands-on and strategic role responsible for designing, migrating, and managing Azure cloud environments, including large-scale migrations from on-premises and mainframe (zLinux) systems to Azure. Key Responsibilities Design and implement Azure IaaS and PaaS architectures Lead on-premises and mainframe (zLinux) migrations to Azure Develop cloud strategy, standards, and governance Implement DevOps automation for provisioning and configuration Manage hybrid cloud and infrastructure environments Ensure security, compliance, and best practices in Azure Support Windows Server and Linux environments Create documentation and provide knowledge transfer to internal teams Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field 5+ years of Azure Solutions Architect experience 5+ years of Azure environment build and cloud migration 5+ years of DevOps engineering experience Strong experience with Azure security, governance, and compliance Network administration experience Strong documentation and communication skills Experience supporting Windows Server environments Preferred Qualifications Mainframe and zLinux migration experience Linux administration (Red Hat, Ubuntu, SUSE) PowerShell scripting and automation Exposure to AI/ML solutions Application monitoring and performance tools About SR International INC SR International has been a leading name among the IT consulting companies with offices in US and India.
