Job Description

Inside the Role The quality management team plays a key role in providing quality support for assembly line functions in Detroit. The PVL Lab Supervisor role is a challenging position that involves problem solving simple and complex issues in a production environment with long and short term implications, supervising lab technician hourly staff, and managing the flow of in-bound and outbound engine traffic to the various labs. You will work individually and with a cross functional team. Data analysis, Triage Report Development, Complex problem solving, and KPI tracking support is a core function of this position. We Take Care of Our Team Position offers a starting salary range of $108,000 - $139,000 USD Pay offered dependent on knowledge, skills, and experience. What You Drive at DTNA Supervise hourly staff and technicians within PVL Manage and track active problem solving measures Drive QFL 3& 4 findings within assembly Collect and analyze data through SISAM, Toolsnet, QDA, and other sources Support production through process, dock, and teardown audits Organize progress and KPI reports for management updates Work with cross functions to track open issues to completion Purchase and organize lab equipment 5S the lab and surrounding areas Manage the flow of engines in and out of the lab & support CFTs with PVL testing Knowledge You Should Bring BS/BA and 2-4 years of relevant experience industry experience 2-4 years of relevant leadership experience Project management Product knowledge of powertrain Team building High communication and organizational ability GD&T, Drawing comprehension PFMEA knowledge QDA/Toolsnet/SISAM understanding and familiarity Quality Feedback Loop knowledge Exceptional Candidates Might Have Shanin/Complex problem solving Engine test familiarity Where We Work This position is open to applicants who can work in (or relocate to) the following location(s)- Detroit, MI US.
