Deliver personalized speech therapy that spans communication, language development, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing functions. Engage collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team including physical therapists, nurses, physicians, and family members to ensure cohesive patient care. Provide educational resources to patients and their families to support therapeutic progress beyond clinic sessions. Participate in inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions on occasion to guarantee a seamless treatment experience. Maintain meticulous documentation that complies with state, federal, and agency regulations. Stay abreast of the latest best practices through professional development and peer collaboration. Education A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution. Successful completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not ASHA-certified. Certifications Licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist in North Carolina. ASHA's Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) is strongly preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be completed within 30 days of joining the team. Skills Expertise in evidence-based practices concerning developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders across various age groups. Strong interpersonal skills to effectively engage with patients, families, and various healthcare professionals.
