Deliver specialized speech therapy interventions targeting communication skills, language development, fluency, voice training, and swallowing assistance. Work collaboratively with physical and occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, caregivers, and families to formulate integrated care strategies. Instruct patients and family members on practice techniques to encourage progress beyond therapy sessions. Participate in occasional inpatient therapy evaluations and interventions, ensuring a seamless transition throughout the care continuum. Maintain precise and timely documentation aligned with state, federal, and organizational regulations. Stay informed about the latest developments in the field through continuous education and peer collaboration. Education Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution. Successful completion of a clinical fellowship year (CFY), if not yet ASHA-certified. Certifications Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 30 days of hire. Skills Expertise in evidence-based techniques for all age groups, with a deep understanding of both developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing challenges. Exceptional interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with patients, their families, and interdisciplinary teams. Capable of adapting therapy strategies to meet the diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds of clients. Strong clinical judgment and problem-solving capabilities.
