Position Description & Qualifications If you are enthusiastic about health and fitness, we invite you to join our dynamic team and play a vital role in enhancing Soldier performance and readiness through the Army's esteemed Holistic Health and Fitness (H2F) program. As a Strength and Conditioning Specialist (SCS), you will be a key member of the H2F Performance Teams, tasked with developing, implementing, and managing specialized strength and conditioning programs tailored to enhance physical performance and reduce the risk of musculoskeletal (MSK) injuries at Brigade (BDE), Battalion (BN), and Company levels. Available Locations: Fort Hood, TX Fort Riley, KS Fort Leavenworth, KS Fort Leonard Wood, MO Fort Sill, OK Fort Johnson, LA Your responsibilities will include: Designing and implementing effective strength and conditioning programs that meet NSCA CSCS or CSCCa SCCC standards. Ensuring the highest quality of programs by adhering to the guidelines set by the Army Brigade Program Director (BDE PD) while maintaining industry benchmarks. Participating in regular meetings with the BDE PD and H2F Performance Team to review training programs and provide insights on Soldier/unit advancements. Documenting and tracking Soldier/unit progress and offering recommendations for continuous improvement to the H2F System. Overseeing equipment operations and proactively addressing any issues with the BDE PD. Collaborating with medical professionals to create training programs for Soldiers with physical limitations. Providing mentorship and guidance to unit fitness leaders, along with injury prevention strategies. Collecting and reporting performance data as instructed. To excel in this role, you should have: Legal eligibility to work in the US and US Citizenship for positions overseas. A Bachelor's degree in any discipline. At least three years of relevant SCC experience in the last five years, or a combination of professional experience, education, or military service. Veterans, military spouses, and candidates with relevant internship experience coaching collegiate, professional, Olympic teams, or ROTC programs may qualify for experience waivers. The ability to pass a NACI (Tier 1) background check for government facility access. An active/current NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) or CSCCa Strength and Conditioning Coach Certified (SCCC). Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR/AED certification from a recognized organization. The physical capability to handle loads up to 45 pounds and conduct outdoor training in varied environments. The willingness to travel up to 10% as necessary to support geographically dispersed units. The ability to report work hours electronically via a personal computer or smartphone. A valid driver's license without restrictions for driving on federal properties. Preferred Experience and Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Teams). An active NACI clearance.
