Overview: Department: Respiratory Therapy Facility: Resurrection Medical Center Location: 7435 W Talcott Ave, Chicago, IL 60631 Schedule: 12-hour nights rotating holidays and weekends Sign-On Bonus: $15,000.00 Resurrection Medical Center is actively seeking a dedicated Certified Respiratory Care Specialist (RCP II / RRT) to join our dynamic Respiratory Therapy department. In this role, you will provide critical respiratory therapy, including ventilator management, pulmonary diagnostics, airway management, and oxygen therapy for patients of all ages. Your responsibilities will involve thorough assessment, care planning, and implementation, along with precise documentation in line with our hospital policies and regulatory standards. Your expertise will ensure optimal patient care, and you may have the opportunity to lead shifts in the absence of a supervisor, fostering team development and operational excellence. Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive respiratory treatments, including ventilator management and pulmonary diagnostics as prescribed by physicians. Administer oxygen therapy, perform arterial blood gas (ABG) analyses, and conduct patient assessments. Collaborate with teams in critical care, emergency services, and neonatal care to enhance patient outcomes. Ensure meticulous documentation and adherence to hospital and regulatory policies. Take on responsibilities as the lead therapist when assigned, coaching and mentoring team members. Qualifications: Valid State Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) License is mandatory. Current BCLS (AHA) certificate upon hire, maintaining it thereafter. Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) is required. Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Respiratory Care Practitioner is preferred. ACLS certification to be obtained within 60 days of hire and maintained thereafter. NRP certification is preferred. PALS certification to be obtained within 60 days of hire and maintained thereafter. Associate Degree or Bachelor of Science degree is preferred. A High School Diploma or equivalent is required. The total estimated compensation for this position ranges from $37.00 to $49.80 per hour, taking into account your skills, experience, education, and credentials at the time of hiring.
