Job Summary Under the direction of the Principal, the Substitute Facilities Assistant will help clean and maintain the school or other educational facilities on an as-needed basis. This position provides temporary support when regular facilities staff are absent or when additional assistance is required. The Substitute Facilities Assistant supports the Principal and Facilities Coordinator in completing preventative maintenance and general facility upkeep tasks. Requirements / QualificationsFingerprint Clearance Letter(s) of Reference Resume Comments and Other Information Knowledge of: - Requirements of maintaining school buildings in a safe, clean, and orderly condition. - Health and safety regulations. - Cleaning equipment, tools, materials, and supplies used in facilities work. - Modern cleaning methods, including basic methods of cleaning and preserving floors, carpets, furniture, walls, and fixtures. Ability to: - Lift up to 50 pounds or more at a time. - Perform heavy physical labor. - Read and understand cleaning and chemical labels. - Understand and follow oral and written instructions. - Learn cleaning methods and proper care of equipment. - Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others.
