Equal Opportunity Employer Individuals with Disabilities / Protected Veterans Responsibilities Design and maintain container orchestration platforms; automate platform lifecycle (provisioning, upgrades, scaling, hardening). Automate deployment and configuration of core infrastructure services: identity and access, networking, application security, logging, monitoring, and delivery. Build and evolve CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps workflows; integrate tests, security scans, and compliance gates. Collaborate with internal/external platform consumers to guide architecture, data migration, implementation, troubleshooting, monitoring, and operational excellence. Author runbooks and platform documentation; contribute to reliability reviews and continuous improvement. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering or related STEM field and 8+ years of relevant experience; OR Master's degree plus 6 years. Experience with public/private/mixed cloud environments (AWS, Azure; RHOSP, VIO). Hands-on with containers (Docker) and Kubernetes (or Rancher/OpenShift). Practical experience with CI/CD tooling (GitLab, Jenkins) and configuration management (Ansible, Puppet, Chef). Infrastructure automation using Terraform/Terragrunt and pipeline orchestration. Supporting production-grade apps in virtualized/cloud environments using automation. Strong communication, attention to detail, and ability to work cross functionally. Security & Compliance Knowledge of DoD/IC security practices: encryption, certificates/key management, patch/STIG/RMF hardening, auditing. Familiarity with scalable networking and web standards: NGINX/load balancers/firewalls, REST APIs, web security mechanisms. Preferred Tools & Technologies Cloud: AWS, Azure; IaaS OpenStack/RHOSP/VIO Platforms: Kubernetes, Rancher, OpenShift Automation: Ansible, Terraform, Terragrunt, Packer Messaging/DB/Cache: RabbitMQ, Redis, Elasticsearch Observability: logging/monitoring integrations across platform services Clearance Requirements Department of Defense TS/SCI clearance required at time of hire.
