Senior Construction Manager - Data Center Projects

In this crucial role, you will play a vital part in planning, engineering, and overseeing the construction processes for data centers, ensuring quality and efficiency throughout every phase. As a Senior Construction Manager, you will be responsible for: Championing safety: Enforce strict adherence to Jacobs Beyond-Zero safety protocols. Executing comprehensive reviews: Carry out detailed constructability reviews and proactively plan pre-construction activities to enhance safety, minimize costs, and adhere to project timelines. Driving project management: Oversee construction schedules and implement effective commissioning strategies, while introducing innovative methods such as modularization and prefabrication. Tracking project progress: Meticulously monitor daily construction activities and provide comprehensive reports to both Owners and Jacobs management. Facilitating communication: Organize and lead regular contractor meetings focused on safety protocols, schedule compliance, change management, and cost control. Ensuring quality: Develop procedures for the prompt identification and resolution of construction defects. To excel in this role, you should satisfy the following qualifications: A minimum of 12 years of experience in large building construction or civil projects. A Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field. Proven experience leading projects with an emphasis on Data Centers, including oversight of subcontractors and vendors. A solid understanding of electrical power tie-ins, instrumentation installation, controls wiring, and network cabling. Expertise in construction scheduling and effective commissioning planning. Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal. Familiarity with project management software and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. A strong capability to accurately interpret contracts, drawings, and specifications. A steadfast commitment to safety, holding an OSHA 30 certification or the willingness to obtain it within 60 days of hire. This role requires physical agility, including the ability to navigate active construction sites and safely manage materials.
