Advanced LPN - Women's Health | BLS Certified

Join a dedicated healthcare team in the heart of the Midwest region, providing compassionate and expert care in a fast-paced clinical environment. This role supports physicians and mid-level providers by delivering thorough assessments, treatments, testing, and patient education focused on women's health. Key Responsibilities Adhere to clinic policies ensuring patient safety, including infection control and safe patient handling. Administer medications via oral, intramuscular, and subcutaneous routes as prescribed. Assist providers during procedures, maintaining sterile fields and managing instruments. Support examinations within the scope of licensure and perform phone triage. Serve as a liaison between patients and providers, communicating test results and addressing patient inquiries. Document patient complaints and visit details accurately according to provider preferences. Escort patients to exam rooms and obtain vital signs and measurements precisely. Manage and update medication lists and patient summaries. Conduct point-of-care lab testing and collect specimens as ordered. Educate patients on electronic health record tools and provide supportive teaching. Schedule diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, handling precertifications and authorizations. Train new LPNs and medical assistants in clinic protocols. Demonstrate accountability, adaptability, teamwork, and maintain excellent attendance. Education Graduated from an accredited LPN program and completed an approved IV therapy course. Experience Previous nursing or healthcare experience is preferred but not mandatory. Certifications and Licenses Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license valid in the region and American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. Physical and Mental Requirements This position requires significant mental focus and physical activity including lifting up to 35 pounds, frequent walking, standing, turning, carrying, pushing, pulling, stooping, crouching, twisting, and reaching. Working Conditions Exposure to infectious and communicable diseases is frequent, along with occasional encounters with hostile individuals. Minimal physical discomfort is expected.
