Asset Protection Specialist II, 1st Shift

What You'll Be Doing: Keep the Asset Protection Manager informed of potential workplace security and safety issues. Maintain order and control of the front desk, lobby areas, and switchboard. Prevent internal theft by conducting scanning and bag checks of employees and visitors exiting the facility. Ensure all visitors are authorized, logged in, and escorted in the entrance and front lobby. Monitor security systems, including CCTV, fire, and burglar alarms, to respond to incidents across multiple facilities. Audit physical security platforms to ensure functionality and compliance across various buildings. Analyze data and conduct video audits regarding Shrink & Cargo Loss to mitigate risks. Monitor parking lots and report unauthorized vehicles or suspicious activities to leadership. Notify emergency personnel in case of emergencies as needed. Assist and support the leadership team during safety drills, emergency crises, and evacuations. Ensure regulatory compliance measures are adhered to by associates and vendors entering the facility. Manage safety training documents and administer new hire safety training as well as annual refresher training. Monitor all inbound and outbound trailer activity in the trailer yard. What You Bring to the Table: Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with a constructive and professional demeanor. Proficient personal computing skills. Ability to work well in teams while maintaining strict confidentiality. Experience in asset protection or warehouse operations. Understanding of physical security processes, access control, and CCTV systems. Experience managing workplace safety incidents and emergencies requiring police/fire notifications. Qualifications: Basic Requirements: High school diploma or GED, or equivalent experience. 2+ years of related experience in warehouse operations or loss prevention/asset protection.
