2nd/3rd Shift Medication Technician

Calyx Living is actively seeking 2nd/3rd Shift Medication Technicians (Med Techs) for our assisted living community located in beautiful North Durham off the Eno River and just minutes from Duke University, the Durham Bulls Athletic Park and the American Tobacco Campus in downtown Durham's vibrant entertainment district. As a Med Tech, you will be responsible for the administration of medications and also be responsible for supporting the Personal Care Assistants (PCA's) by providing personal care services to our seniors. Additional responsibilities may include but aren't limited to: Keeping records updated on medication administrative files, regular communication with pharmacy, families, residents and supervisors, charting, verbal encouragement to support residents, and order/receive medication.  Must have a "safety first" attitude towards all of our residents and staff.                 Qualifications Active North Carolina MT Certification required Assisted Living / Skilled Nursing experience a mustExcellent communication with residents and families Compassion, patience and understanding for residentsHighly organized with a strong attention to detailSupervisory background preferredMust be available to work weekends and holidays If you are NC Med Tech Certified and have worked previously in the senior housing industry, apply today!
