Reports To: Email & SMS Director Department: Online Work Location: Hybrid (WFH & DC Headquarters) Job Type: Full-Time, Salary Exempt Supervisory Responsibilities: No The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) is the official national Democratic campaign committee charged with electing Democrats to the U. S. House of Representatives. The DCCC recruits Democratic candidates and supports Democratic campaigns - both challengers and Democratic incumbent Members - with a variety of services including field operations, fundraising support, communications assistance, digital strategy, research support and management consulting. The DCCC is supported by the contributions of individuals and organizations, along with Democratic Members, from throughout the country. We look for talented and hard-working professionals who are committed to electing Democrats and winning the House majority. Due to the cyclic nature of our organization, all positions are subject to separation at the end of the election cycle. Position Summary: The Digital Fundraising Strategist is part of the National Grassroots Fundraising team. The Digital Fundraising Strategist is responsible for the writing, coding, and sending of supporter emails and text messages, building and maintaining petition and donation pages, monitoring daily performance of emails, and executing list acquisition. This position will assist the team in developing strategic email and SMS fundraising campaigns for the DCCC. Applicants should be creative, hardworking, and passionate about digital fundraising for Democratic campaigns. Occasionally, rapid response and weekend work will be required outside of normal business hours. This position is part of a collective bargaining unit. Responsibilities: Drafting compelling fundraising (email, SMS, and web) copy to raise money for the DCCC Coding and sending digital fundraising blasts over email, broadcast, SMS and P2P SMS; performing quality assurance checks on email and SMS deliverables Setting up signup forms and donation pages on the DCCC website; working with the team to improve quality and increase conversion rates Maintaining and optimizing ActBlue copy, branding, and testing Maintaining automated series and assisting with reactivation and acquisition Compiling and summarizing results of analytics for websites, email campaigns, text message campaigns, and ad campaigns Assisting with the fulfillment of grassroots fundraising merchandise Assisting with maintenance of DCCC homepage and microsites, including but not limited to Frontline, Districts in Play, Red to Blue, and Democracy Summer Executing rapid response to maximize DCCC fundraising during critical news events Performing other duties as necessary to ensure the success of the grassroots fundraising team RequirementsOne cycle of digital fundraising experience at any Democratic committee, PAC, or firm Working knowledge of HTML and CSS - any other coding knowledge is a major benefit Strong writing skills and the ability to complete digital fundraising copy quickly in an ever-changing news cycle Knowledge of any email CMS or CRM is preferred, but not required.
