Network Specialist - Firewall Administrator

Job Description: Network Operations is seeking an experienced Firewall Administrator to support enterprise network security operations. The role focuses on administration, maintenance, and optimization of Palo Alto firewall environments managed through Panorama. The position requires strong hands-on experience with firewall security, VPN technologies, and high availability configurations. Experience: Minimum of three years of direct hands-on administration of Palo Alto firewalls, including 3K and 5K series, managed by Panorama. Responsibilities: Build and maintain Security and NAT policies. Manage high availability firewall active and standby configurations. Support HA firewall pairs with multiple virtual firewalls. Use CLI extensively for troubleshooting and performance data collection. Perform PAN-OS upgrades on HA firewalls and Panorama management consoles. dminister and troubleshoot GlobalProtect VPN environments. dminister and troubleshoot IPSEC VPN tunnels to WAN and third-party vendors. Support mixed-vendor network environments including Cisco and Cradlepoint devices. Configure and support BGP for VPN tunnel connectivity. Manage Palo Alto dedicated log collectors. Implement and manage firewall templates and template stacks in Panorama. Integrate User-ID with Active Directory and RADIUS. Implement multi-factor authentication using Azure. Manage SSL certificates and their lifecycle on Palo Alto firewalls. Configure and maintain External Dynamic Lists. nalyze firewall logs to inform and automate policy decisions. Use TAG objects effectively beyond rule documentation and identification. Work directly with Palo Alto Support to resolve platform-related issues. Skills: Strong expertise in Palo Alto firewall and Panorama administration. Solid understanding of VPN technologies and secure network design.
