What You Will Do: As a Psych Tech 1, you will support clinical staff by administering medications, assisting with daily activities, and ensuring patient safety within a comprehensive mental health setting. The role involves weekend shifts and training during weekdays until fully qualified to perform on the floor. Your presence will help foster a healing environment where patients can achieve their goals. Required Skills: Valid medication administration certificate CPR certification Diabetic certification Ability to obtain certifications immediately upon hire if not already held Strong communication skills Compassionate and patient-focused demeanor Ability to work weekends consistently Nice to Have Skills: Prior experience working in mental health or behavioral health settings Knowledge of therapeutic techniques Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team Bilingual abilities are a plus Preferred Education and Experience: High school diploma or GED required Prior experience in healthcare, behavioral health, or related field preferred, but not mandatory Other Requirements: Willingness to work every weekend Commitment to completing required training during weekdays before floor duties Reliable transportation to/from shifts Willingness to obtain any necessary certifications promptly upon hiring Travel reimbursement may be available where applicable This is a highly rewarding role for dedicated individuals seeking to advance their healthcare careers.
