Data Protection & Virtualization Engineer

Job Type Full-time Description Centex Technologies is seeking a Data Protection & Virtualization Engineer to support mission-critical systems at Army HRC. You will engineer and operate Dell Data Domain, Dell Avamar, and VMware virtualization to ensure secure and highly available data services. This position requires: US citizenship Active DoD Secret clearance Responsibilities Design and administer Dell Data Domain and Avamar backup and recovery solutions. Support VMware virtualization, including resource allocation, performance tuning, and capacity planning. Coordinate storage and network configurations needed for data protection. Monitor backup activities, troubleshoot failures, and perform restores as needed. Implement security and compliance requirements across data protection and virtualization platforms. Create and maintain technical documentation, including SOPs and run books. We also participate in E-Verify. Requirements5+ years of experience with enterprise backup technologies (Data Domain, Avamar, or equivalent). 4+ years of VMware virtualization experience. Active Secret clearance and onsite availability at Fort Knox, KY. Strong storage and networking fundamentals. Solid troubleshooting and communication skills. Preferred Relevant Dell backup or VMware certifications. Experience in DoD environments and knowledge of DISA or RMF.
