Logistics Specialist

Job Description: The Logistics Specialist (LS) is tasked with packing, crating and shipping UAM inventory, worldwide. The LS also: • Verify items to be received into inventory; both physical and remote receiving • Responsible for the packing and unpacking of unit(s) for receiving and shipping Ensure accurate and concise documentation for receiving and shipping • Receives into inventory Repair Orders, RMAs, and UAM Purchase Orders, and enters Air Waybills into receiving log when delivered • Utilizes shipping software, i.e. FedEx Ship Manager, UPS WorldShip, etc., to optimize shipping and transport procedures Accountable for the safety and accuracy of UAM outgoing shipments worldwide • Coordinates the delivery of components and related assemblies to UAM customers Administers and abides by UAM"'s logistics program in accordance with relevant regulations Creates a manifest for components to be received or shipped for 3rd Party customers • Communicates effectively with other UAM departments, as needed Monitors and achieves logistics metrics (KPI) set by warehouse management Familiarity with UAM"'s Quality Control Manual and all related policies and procedures and makes incremental improvements that increase efficiency Performs receiving and shipping audits/cycle counts, as requested by management Abides by the posted AOG (Aircraft On Ground) schedule, and maintains availability during AOG period Performs other duties as assigned Reporting Relationships: Reports to: • GDC Director/Manager: Qualifications & Experience: • High school diploma or equivalent • Have the ability to analyze data, search for errors and autonomously work towards solutions • Work well against critical deadlines with the ability to multi-task • Be goal-oriented, persuasive, and able to work well both independently and as part of a team • Warehouse & Inventory experience is a plus • Aviation experience is a plus • Computer skills are a plus, especially the Microsoft Office Suite, with attention to detail Personal Qualities: • Possess a hands-on in approach and willing to roll up his/her sleeves in a team environment. • Proven ability to take ownership and personally meet deadlines. • Decisive, project oriented, and highly results driven. • A detailed and problem solving individual. • Proven team player who endorses a consensus oriented culture yet has the confidence to challenge the status quo, initiate change, and take ownership. • Flexible approach to work and the ability to see different scenarios and project outcomes. • Motivated, enterprising and enthusiastic, working well under commercial pressure and thriving on being given challenges and accepting responsibility. • Possesses strong integrity, ethics, and a down-to-earth, open personality that aligns with the UAM culture, maintaining a level of trust and reliability. • Strong values, grind, perseverance and optimism. • The ability to communicate and interact with executives and customers at all levels and to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community. • Decisive and willing to make tough decisions. • Strong written and oral communication skills. • Ability to pass background and drug screening
