Interim Traffic/Shipping Manager Edsal Manufacturing is North America's leading designer, manufacturer, and distributor of high-quality steel shelving and cabinets for garage, basement, storage, and commercial applications. Interim Traffic/Shipping Manager Job Summary The Traffic / Shipping Manager leads transportation and freight operations to ensure cost-effective, compliant, and on-time delivery of finished goods. You'll manage carriers, oversee shipping staff, analyze freight performance, and drive improvements across our logistics network. We are looking for someone with: Manage inbound and outbound freight (LTL, FTL, parcel, brokered freight) Optimize freight costs through rate analysis, routing, and carrier management Monitor transit times, service levels, and on-time delivery performance Manage carrier, broker, and 3PL relationships and contracts Ensure DOT and internal compliance across transportation activities Supervise traffic and shipping staff; oversee training and performance Partner with production, warehouse, and customer service teams Implement process improvements to reduce delays and increase efficiency Education & Experience High school diploma or equivalent 5+ years of relevant experience 3 years of supervisory experience Physical/Mental Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
