An opportunity is available for a skilled Cardiovascular Special Procedures Technician with expertise in Cath Lab and Interventional Radiology (IR) procedures. This role requires recent hands-on experience in a Cath Lab environment and proficiency in using the C-Arm imaging system. The ideal candidate will hold the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification and possess Cath Lab experience. Additionally, having the Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist (CMRT) credential is preferred. This position involves after-hours call responsibilities, reflecting the critical nature of cardiovascular procedures. Responsibilities: Prepare procedure rooms ensuring all equipment is set for cardiovascular imaging and interventions. Manage patients with intravenous lines, oxygen therapy, chest tubes, or other medical devices, monitoring their status throughout imaging procedures. Apply expert knowledge of emergency drugs and resuscitation equipment. Administer contrast media and other medications safely and according to established guidelines. Process and manipulate imaging data, assess image quality, troubleshoot technical issues, adjust techniques, or repeat procedures to guarantee optimal results. Qualifications and Desired Experience: Active ARRT certification. Recent and relevant Cath Lab and IR experience. CMRT certification preferred. Ability to operate C-Arm imaging equipment expertly. Strong understanding of medication administration and emergency protocols. Reliable and available for after-hours call duty.
