Maintenance Technician / Facilities Maintenance - Full-Time Location: William Penn Inn - Gwynedd, PA Schedule: Full-time; flexible schedule including weekends, evenings, and on-call availability as needed About Us The William Penn Inn is a historic and well-known hospitality destination in Montgomery County, recognized for exceptional service, beautiful grounds, and a tradition of excellence. We are seeking a reliable, skilled, and detail-oriented Maintenance Technician to help maintain the safety, functionality, and appearance of our property. Position Summary The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and repair of the Inn's buildings, equipment, and grounds. This role supports restaurant operations, banquet facilities, guest areas, and back-of-house spaces, ensuring the property remains safe, well-maintained, and operational at all times. Key Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance and repairs including plumbing, electrical, HVAC support, carpentry, painting, and general building upkeep Be available to respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency repair needs across restaurant, banquet, and public areas, including outside of normal operating hours to support operations and guest experience. Conduct preventative maintenance to reduce downtime and equipment failures Maintain and repair kitchen equipment, refrigeration, dish machines, and other operational equipment Lead seasonal projects such as snow removal, landscaping coordination, and exterior upkeep Monitor building systems and report larger repair needs or safety concerns Maintain clean, organized maintenance areas and properly store tools and supplies Coordinate with outside contractors and vendors as needed Follow all safety procedures and comply with local building codes and regulations Support special events, banquets, and large functions with setup and breakdown as required Requirements 8-10+ years of experience in general maintenance, facilities maintenance, or a related trade preferred HVAC Certified Working knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical systems Ability to troubleshoot and complete repairs independently Experience in a hospitality, restaurant, hotel, or banquet facility preferred Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks including standing, bending, climbing, and working outdoors Reliable transportation and strong attendance record Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and on-call situations Professional demeanor and ability to work well with all departments Benefits (Full-Time Employees) Competitive pay based on experience Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with company match Paid vacation and holidays Employee meals Supportive and stable work environment Why Join Us Work at a respected historic property with pride in craftsmanship Be part of a long-standing team committed to excellence Steady, year-round work in a professional setting Equal Opportunity Employer The William Penn Inn is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
