Working Title: Intune Administrator / Intune Consultant Client: State of Ohio- Dept. of COM Location: Columbus, OH Work Type: Hybrid (periodic onsite required) Experience Required: 5+ years Equipment: Laptop must be picked up at the worksite Position Overview The client is seeking an experienced Intune Administrator Consultant to assess, optimize, and enhance an existing hybrid Microsoft Intune and MECM (Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager) environment. This environment supports a diverse fleet of Windows, macOS, and mobile devices and is a critical component of the organization's device management and security strategy. This is a hands-on consulting role requiring deep technical expertise in Intune-MECM integration, Zero Trust security alignment, and enterprise endpoint management. The consultant will collaborate closely with Enterprise IT and Security teams (DAS/OIT & OISP), Microsoft, and support partners to ensure a smooth transition of the optimized environment to internal teams. Key Responsibilities Environment Assessment & Optimization Assess the current hybrid Intune and MECM integration Identify gaps, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities Design and implement enhancements to optimize device management and application deployment Streamline software update management and compliance enforcement Security & Zero Trust Alignment Evaluate and strengthen endpoint security controls Align Intune configurations with the organization's Zero Trust security strategy Implement and support integrations with security tools such as CrowdStrike Enhance compliance and reporting visibility to meet regulatory and security requirements Infrastructure & Services Enhancement Optimize Universal Print infrastructure and resolve performance or design issues Improve reporting, monitoring, and compliance dashboards Ensure endpoint management best practices are followed across platforms Collaboration & Knowledge Transfer Work closely with Enterprise IT, Security teams, Microsoft, and support vendors Provide documentation, guidance, and knowledge transfer to internal staff Support a smooth handover of the optimized Intune environment to in-house teams Required Qualifications & Experience Skill / Experience Requirement Minimum Experience Intune & MECM Integration (Advanced) Required 5+ years Hybrid Device Management (Consulting) Required 5+ years Zero Trust Security Implementation Required 5+ years CrowdStrike Integration Required 5+ years Universal Print Optimization Required 5+ years Mandatory Skills Expertise in Microsoft Intune and MECM integration, including advanced techniques Proven consulting experience assessing and optimizing hybrid endpoint environments Strong understanding of Zero Trust security principles Hands-on experience with CrowdStrike security integration In-depth knowledge of Universal Print and enterprise print optimization Certifications Microsoft certifications relevant to Intune, Endpoint Manager, or Security (Required)
