Job Description We are seeking an experience senior associate of investment banking insurance focused based in one of our offices in Beachwood, OH; Grandville, MI; New York, NY; or Dana Point, CA. This role is responsible for leading transaction teams, conducting in-depth financial analysis, driving growth, and ensuring high-quality advisory services. This person will oversee merger and acquisition advisory projects, business valuations, due diligence, and financial consulting. This includes structuring transactions, negotiating terms, and managing the full deal cycle from introduction to closing. Additionally, the Vice President will contribute to strategic planning, goal-setting, and team leadership. Key Focus Areas: This position primarily serves clients within the Wealth Advisory market, including Registered Investment Advisors (RIAs), Retirement Planning, Life Insurance, and Wealth Management (Brokerage). Responsibilities: Serve as the client-facing lead on M&A and financial consulting projects, overseeing strategy development and execution. Manage both buy-side and sell-side M&A engagements, including financial modeling, due diligence, deal structuring, negotiations, and transaction execution. Identify opportunities for growth and implement strategies to enhance client satisfaction, market share, and revenue. Lead new business development efforts by fostering relationships, responding to inquiries, and supporting branding and marketing initiatives. Maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and internal teams to drive client retention and satisfaction. Research, write, and structure client deliverables while ensuring quality and timeliness. Identify and resolve client challenges with innovative solutions and proactive problem-solving. Provide leadership and mentorship to team members, including workflow management, performance feedback, and training recommendations. Publish industry articles on transaction advisory, due diligence, financial consulting, and valuation. Stay informed on industry trends and integrate best practices into service offerings. Cultivate relationships with internal and external stakeholders to drive revenue generation. Manage special projects and additional duties as assigned. Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Management. A Master's degree and/or Juris Doctor is a plus. Professional certifications such as CPA, CVA, CPCU, or AM&AA are preferred. 6-10+ years of experience in investment banking, transaction advisory, corporate development, law, financial consulting, or financial services. Proven ability to lead teams and achieve business objectives. Strong financial acumen with expertise in M&A transactions. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Willingness to obtain necessary licensing exams for broker-dealer registration shortly after hire. Additional Requirements: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to travel up to 40%, including overnight and occasional weekend travel. Flexibility to work extended hours as needed.
