Work Based Learning Coordinator - High School (2026-2027 School Year)JobID: 2278Position Type:High School Teaching/ Work Based Learning Coordinator Date Posted:2/13/2026 Location:Victor Senior High School Closing Date:03/06/2026 Job DescriptionTitle:Work-Based Learning CoordinatorQualifications: Hold valid New York State Teacher or Guidance Counselor certification plus one of the following extensions: 8981 Coordinator of Work-Based Learning Programs For Career Awareness 8982 Coordinator of Work-Based Learning Programs for Career Development Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills Effective communication and problem solving skills Strong Knowledge of curriculum and the instructional process Ability to work collaboratively in an educational setting and in the community Be able to work effectively with all stakeholders Responsibilities: Shall include but are not limited to the following: Design and deliver authentic learning experiences that allow students to explore their career goals, abilities, and interests while applying their academic and technical knowledge and skills in a real-world context; Secure student placement(s) and supervise student work based learning experiences; Document student progress, including any necessary safety training and ongoing instruction; Collaborate with business, industry, or community partners in support of student placements; Communicate opportunities and programmatic information to students, families and the school community on a regular basis; Network regionally in order to foster and expand opportunities for students; Establish a regional industry based work-based learning advisory committee; Ensure compliance with NYSED guidelines and regulations, including the registration of the Work Based Learning Program; Work collaboratively with and provide oversight of Career Center Teacher Assistant; Collaborate with secondary departments to identify career connection and enrichment opportunities aligned to the course of study; Curriculum development; Other duties as assigned by the Principal or Director of P12 Math and Science Reports to:Principal and Director of P12 Math and Science Salary: Minimum starting salary $48,502 (negotiable based on experience), as per the Victor Teachers/' Association agreement. The VTA contract can be found on the Victor Central School District website under the Human Resources tab. Terms of Employment:The position of Work-Based Learning Coordinator is a ten-month position. The terms established in accordance with the contract between the Superintendent of Schools and the Victor Teachers' Association.Evaluation:Per the contract between Victor Central Schools and the Victor Central Teachers' Association.
