Information Technologist

PGS Worldwide is seeking an Information Technologist in Melbourne, FL for a one year contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company. This role modernizes software product production through DevSecOps practices, supporting continuous build, integration, test, cyber, deployment, and metrics on aerospace programs. You will design, architect, develop, deploy, and operate a modern DevSecOps software factory in an Agile environment with multi-disciplinary engineering teams. Required Skills Bachelor of Science in a STEM discipline and 14 years of related professional/military Software Engineering experience (including Agile development lifecycle), OR Master's degree and 12 years, OR PhD and 9 years Experience with peer review tools such as Atlassian Crucible Experience with at least one object-oriented programming language (Java, JavaScript, C++, C#, Python, Swift) Experience with software development lifecycle Experience with change management tracking tools such as Jira, ClearQuest, or Asana Experience with continuous integration tools such as Bamboo, Jenkins, or GitLab Experience with configuration management systems such as GIT, GitLab, Bitbucket, or Subversion Preferred Skills Architect-level certification with cloud technology (AWS, VMWare, Azure, Kubernetes) Experience using AI to improve peer review quality Experience architecting cloud solutions Active DoD Secret clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance Current Special Access Program (SAP) clearance What You'll Do Design, architect, develop, deploy, and operate a modern DevSecOps software factory Work in an Agile software development environment with Systems Engineering, Real-time & Embedded Software, Test Automation, DevSecOps, and Systems Test teams Conduct trade studies and analysis of alternatives for an end-of-life peer review product Lead a cross-functional team to prototype solutions and gain stakeholder buy-in Productionize a replacement for an end-of-life tool Define and migrate existing teams to the replacement tool Job ID: 15571 "Military veterans and transitioning military members are encouraged to apply to all PGS Worldwide positions.
