Content Strategist

Job Description- Contract Role - Remote (Must live in PST, MST or CST) - Hours will be PST (End client based in California) Description of Role The Content Strategist will play a key role promoting effective content management and user engagement within the client's Microsoft 365 environment, with a focus on SharePoint intranets. This role combines strong technical literacy with communication and change management skills - acting as an advocate for modern content organization and governance practices. Key Focus Areas Apply solid understanding of site architecture, taxonomy, metadata, and permissions to improve content discoverability and governance. Advise business users and site owners on best practices for publishing, structuring, and maintaining intranet content. Support training, awareness, and continuous improvement initiatives around content quality and structure. Drive adoption of consistent content management standards across SharePoint Online and related M365 tools. Background/Experience Hands-on experience managing and supporting SharePoint Intranet environments. Strong grasp of Microsoft 365 content services, information architecture, and governance concepts. Excellent communication and consulting skills and able to evangelize best practices across non-technical stakeholders.
