Support specimen collection and prepare specimen samples for testing as required. Document procedures meticulously, provide training for new staff or interns, and assist in maintaining lab quality standards. Ensure a sanitary, safe work environment and comply with regulatory and accreditation standards. Education Bachelor's degree in Clinical or Medical Laboratory Science, or an equivalent degree in allied health along with ASCP/AMT certification preparation. Certifications Obtain ASCP or AMT Board of Certification in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) within a year of hire. Maintain active certification throughout your employment. Skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills that foster collaboration with healthcare teams.
