First-timers are accepted. Must work every third weekend. Candidates must float within scope to meet facility needs. Local candidates are not accepted within a 75-mile radius. Pending licenses are accepted. No more than 7 days of requested time off every 13 weeks. Special requirements include experience with Endotracheal tube/suctioning, extubation, nasal airway suctioning, oral airway placement, oropharyngeal suctioning, sputum specimen collection, and tracheostomy/suctioning. Candidates should be proficient in administering medications including Albuterol, Atrovent, Combivent, inhaled steroids, and more. Experience with medication delivery systems such as aerosol setups and handheld nebulizers is required. High flow nasal cannula and various ventilator management skills including BiPAP and CPAP are necessary. Interpretation of arterial blood gases is required. Candidates will work with adult and geriatric patients in a short-term acute care setting. The facility has a total of 1259 staffed beds. This position requires every other weekend commitment.
