Deliver critical care nursing expertise in a dynamic Intensive Care Unit setting specializing in Medical, Neuro, and Surgical patients. This position requires an experienced RN who thrives in high-acuity environments and is proficient in managing complex patient cases using advanced ICU equipment such as ventilators, arterial lines, and central venous lines. Key Qualifications and Experience: Current RN licensure and at least 2 years ICU nursing experience Certifications: ACLS and BLS required Proficient in ICU patient management and use of critical care equipment Familiarity with Neuro ICU patient care is highly preferred Comfortable with 1:1 to 1:3 patient ratios in a 12-bed unit Ability to float as needed within the facility Demonstrated teamwork under fast-paced critical care conditions Responsibilities: Deliver direct patient care during the evening to early morning shift (1830 - 0700) Monitor and manage critically ill neuro and medical-surgical patients Utilize Cerner EMR system for accurate documentation and communication Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes Adhere to unit protocols including wearing mandatory navy scrubs Location Overview: Situated in the Trussville area near Birmingham, this ICU is within a vibrant medical community offering access to superior healthcare technology and resources.
