Join a dedicated healthcare team as a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) providing vital medication compliance support under the guidance of physicians and nursing staff. This full-time role operates Monday through Friday from 12 PM to 8 PM, focusing on delivering compassionate care to individuals ranging from newborns to geriatrics within a regional healthcare setting in the Midwest. Essential Responsibilities: Ensure timely and accurate documentation following organizational policies. Demonstrate proficiency in patient care aligned with unit and department competencies. Administer, check, and reconcile medication administration records (MARs) while maintaining accurate medication lists in collaboration with providers and pharmacies. Educate patients on medication compliance according to state-approved procedures. Contribute to quality care initiatives that promote positive patient outcomes. Adhere to scheduling requirements including nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call duties. Uphold privacy and security regulations concerning Protected Health Information (PHI). Foster effective communication and professional relationships with patients, team members, physicians, and external agencies. Education and Experience: Completion of an approved CMA training program is required. Candidates must be at least 21 years old. Preferred candidates have two or more years of professional experience in a similar healthcare environment. Licenses and Certifications: Current CMA certification valid in the state of practice. BLS/CPR certification from an approved provider must be obtained within 30 days of hire or by the end of orientation. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Strong foundation in basic medication administration, effective verbal and written communication skills, proficient computer literacy, and working knowledge of math, dosing, and pharmacology. Physical Requirements: Light physical work involving occasional exertion up to 25 lbs and frequent exertion up to 10 lbs. Standing or walking may be required 11-25% of the workday.
