Value Stream Manager

Summary As a key leader, you will be responsible for overseeing the operation of one or more plant value streams. Under the direction of the Value Stream Manager, you will implement Lean systems and the Win Strategy to ensure a safe work environment, enhance quality, and provide premier customer service. Your role will focus on developing a qualified workforce, reducing operating costs, inventories, and lead times through continuous improvements. You will oversee day-to-day activities to meet daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual expectations and will be responsible for leading associates, making employment decisions, and conducting performance assessments. Responsibilities Meet regularly with Value Stream associates to reflect on problems, solutions, and challenges, fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Lead daily operations and continuous improvements in supply chain, production control, and manufacturing priorities, coordinating between all shifts in the value stream. Ensure standardized work and processes are followed, implement needed adjustments, and maintain compliance with safety and 5S requirements. Maintain a positive team atmosphere, hold regular team meetings, assign tasks, and coordinate support activities from other departments. Provide effective cross-training for associates and backups to ensure smooth running of the value stream. Work with the Value Stream Manager to develop future state value stream maps and manage plans to achieve them. Qualifications B.A./B.S. degree in a related technical or business discipline and four or more years of directly related experience. Substantial practical knowledge of products, manufacturing processes, and/or specialty areas in quality or operations support. Demonstrated teamwork and team-building skills, capable of assessing and developing individual and team skills.
