Position Overview: As an MRI Technologist working PRN on weekends, you will have the opportunity to make a real impact and support your professional development every step of the way. 3 shifts per 7 weeks required. 12-hour day shifts (6:30 a.m. - 6:30 p.m.). 1 year of MRI experience preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply! Orientation available on weekends or during the week. Options to pick up shifts at Kingwood Convenient Care Center. Monthly scheduling for your convenience. This position entails performing Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) procedures to create detailed images of various tissues, organs, and body parts for radiologists to detect abnormalities, diagnose illnesses, and formulate treatment plans. Minimum Qualifications: Education: Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology. Licenses/Certifications: Certified in Basic or Advanced Life Support, required. One of the following certifications is required: Registered MRI Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-MR). Registered MRI Technologist by the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT). Experience / Knowledge / Skills: Ability to lift and/or maneuver patients with assistance to perform job functions effectively. Key Responsibilities: Perform MRI procedures including patient preparation, procedure explanation, contrast administration, patient positioning, image technique selection, and quality assurance. Enter and monitor patient data accurately. Execute quality assurance on MRI equipment; assist with accreditation applications. Identify and report accidents, complaints, or equipment issues to management. Participate in on-call emergency efforts within the department. Adhere to all Memorial Hermann policies and procedures, ensuring safe care for patients, staff, and visitors. Contribute to professional growth by fulfilling mandatory and continuing education requirements and mentoring new staff. Demonstrate commitment to compassionate and personalized patient care while modeling service standards. Additional responsibilities as assigned.
